Portugal Considers Peacekeeping in Ukraine Post-War
Portugal's Prime Minister said his country might help with peacekeeping in Ukraine after the war ends.
Portugal is part of a group of countries supporting Ukraine and is already helping with underwater drones.
Meanwhile, the European Union approved a big loan for Ukraine to help with its needs.
Most EU leaders supported this, but a few countries did not sign the agreement.
Ukraine's president is happy about the loan because it helps the country stay strong.
Portugal's Prime Minister Luis Montenegro did not rule out participating in a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine post-war.
Portugal is part of the Coalition of the Willing, a group of about 30 countries supporting Ukraine.
Portugal is already supporting Ukraine in developing underwater drones, and a partnership agreement for their production was signed.
The European Council approved a 90-billion-euro loan package for Ukraine's military and economic needs over the next two years.
The loan is financed through EU borrowing on capital markets and backed by the EU budget headroom, with an opt-out for the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia.
