NPS Swasthya Offers Healthcare Savings Corpus and Super Top-Up Cover

NPS Swasthya is a way for NPS subscribers to save money for healthcare and get extra health insurance.

Subscribers must invest at least Rs 1,000 and pay an insurance premium.

They can use some of their contributions for eligible medical costs.

The scheme allows withdrawals of up to 25% of contributions for those costs.

For larger bills, a super top-up policy can help after the subscriber has paid a chosen deductible.

The insurance can cover between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 30 lakh.

Swasthya is meant to add to, not replace, other health insurance.

If the money is not used for healthcare, it stays invested and can eventually be used for retirement.
