Foreign Delegates Admire Ramappa Temple’s Kakatiya Architecture

A group of 28 visitors from 18 countries went to Ramappa Temple.

They were taking part in a two-week training programme in Hyderabad.

A guide showed them how the temple was built and explained its sculptures.

The visitors were impressed by the sand foundation, which was designed to help the temple withstand earthquakes.

They also learned that lightweight bricks were used in the tower.

The temple has detailed carvings, including dance poses and tiny perforations in black stone.

The visitors said the builders combined art, science and engineering.

They described the temple as an example of India’s ancient knowledge and cultural heritage.
