Madhavan Brings Inventor GDN's Life to Biopic Screen
There is a new movie called 'GDN' about a man named Gopalswamy Doraiswamy Naidu, who was a very smart inventor and dreamer.
He was a genius, but many people did not understand him.
The movie shows his whole life, from the early 1900s all the way to the 1980s.
A lot of the story is about his fight with tax officials who wanted to stop his dreams.
One tax man named Ambalapara Krishnan is his big enemy in the film.
The actor Madhavan plays Naidu, and he is very good at showing all of Naidu's quirks and stubbornness.
The movie critic says Madhavan can change himself for any role, just like the famous actor Kamal Haasan used to.
Other good actors in the movie are Jayaram and Sathyaraj.
The movie also makes people think about how culture and values are treated today.
The biopic 'GDN' tells the story of inventor-visionary Gopalswamy Doraiswamy Naidu, played by Madhavan.
Writer-director Krishnakumar Ramakumar meticulously reconstructs Naidu's life from the early 1900s to the 1980s.
A large part of the film depicts Naidu's battle with the income-tax department, led by Ambalapara Krishnan, played by Jayaram.
The critic hails Madhavan as a 'full-blown chameleon,' comparing him to what Kamal Haasan once was.
Sathyaraj plays GDN's right-hand man, while Aravind Kamalanathan's cinematography is called a visual treat.
