Nestlé India Q1 Profit Falls Due to Increased Costs
Nestlé India, the company that makes Maggi noodles and KitKat, made less profit in the last three months.
This is because things they need to make their products cost more, and they also had to pay more in interest.
Even though they sold more products overall, the costs went up faster.
Some of their products did well, but others didn't.
The company expects that the prices of some ingredients will stabilize or decrease soon.
Nestlé India's profit fell 11.7% in Q1 FY26 due to higher input and finance costs.
Total sales grew 5.8% year-on-year to ₹5,074 crore during the quarter.
Expenses increased 9.25% because of higher finance and interest costs, and elevated consumption prices.
Volume growth was 'modest' and margins missed expectations due to input cost pressure.
Categories such as beverages, confectionery, and prepared dishes saw healthy traction.
