Gemini tops 1 billion monthly users, Google's fastest-growing product
Google makes a smart computer helper called Gemini.
It can answer questions, do tasks, and talk to people.
Google's boss, Sundar Pichai, shared exciting news on a website called X. He said that one billion people use Gemini every month.
That is a lot — more than one out of every eight people on Earth.
Pichai said Gemini is the fastest-growing product Google has ever made, and only the 14th Google product to reach so many users.
Many people talk to Gemini with their voice instead of typing.
Gemini also makes over 150 million pictures every day.
It keeps growing, going from 400 million monthly users in May 2025 to nearly one billion now.
The story is still developing, so we might hear more news soon.
Google's Gemini app has surpassed 1 billion monthly active users, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said in a post on X.
Pichai called Gemini Google's fastest-growing product ever and the company's 14th product to reach the 1 billion-user milestone.
The first article describes Gemini as 'one of the company's fastest-growing products,' while the second calls it the fastest-growing product ever.
Google reported that 63% of users interact with Gemini directly using its voice feature, and the assistant generates more than 150 million images every day.
Gemini has more than 100 million active iOS users and grew from 400 million monthly active users in May 2025 to 950 million in late July 2026.
