World Cup Final and Flu Reduce School Attendance

World Cup Final and Flu Reduce School Attendance

Many students in Calcutta didn't go to school on Monday.

Some stayed up late to watch the World Cup Final where Spain won against Argentina.

Others were sick with flu.

Some schools had as few as 30% of students attending, while others had around 70%.

Schools postponed exams, and students discussed the match during breaks.

Many parents sent sick children to school for exams, but schools advised against it.

The flu is causing fever, cough, and sore throat, but the current Covid strain is mild.
