Messi vs Maradona: Bhutia Rates Maradona Higher in World Cups

Bhaichung Bhutia, a former India football captain, thinks Diego Maradona is better than Lionel Messi in World Cups.

He says Maradona won the 1986 World Cup almost by himself, which is something no other player has done.

Messi has won one World Cup and could be as good as Maradona if he wins another.

Bhutia also thinks Spain might win the 2026 World Cup final against Argentina, even though Messi's team is strong.

He was surprised that England lost to Argentina in the semifinals.

Bhutia believes big players like Messi perform well in important matches.
