India-UK Science and Technology Partnership Dashboard Pilot Launched
Imagine India and the UK are like two friends who love building cool things together through science and technology.
They have created a special online map, like a scoreboard, called the IN-UK-STP dashboard.
This map shows all the science projects they've worked on together since 2018.
It helps them see who paid for what, who did the work, and how these projects help both countries, like making cleaner energy or better medicines.
Leaders from both countries unveiled this first version to help them plan even more exciting projects in the future.
They want to make sure their science team-ups are strong and help everyone in both countries.
A pilot version of the India-United Kingdom Science and Technology Partnership (IN-UK-STP) dashboard was unveiled by officials from both countries.
The dashboard jointly developed by India's Office of PSA and the British High Commission covers 143 bilateral projects supported since 2018.
It maps projects based on funding, partners, funding agencies, and alignment with bilateral goals, SDGs, and technology cooperation areas.
The tool aims to help decision-makers synergize priorities, identify gaps, and understand the evolution of the partnership.
Recommendations include incorporating output metrics like publications and patents, and ensuring timely data inputs for real-time insights.
