Andhra Pradesh Issues Recruitment Rules After Local Cadre Reorganisation
Andhra Pradesh changed the way some government jobs are organised.
The state now has 26 districts instead of 13, six zones instead of four, and two new Multi-Zones.
The government has explained how job vacancies and reservation lists should be handled.
Some areas will continue using their old reservation rosters, while newly changed areas will start new rosters.
Older unfilled vacancies must be counted and shared among the new units.
In most local-cadre recruitments, 95% of the jobs are reserved for local candidates.
The remaining 5% can be competed for by both local and non-local candidates.
Departments must receive Finance Department approval before sending recruitment requests to recruiting agencies.
