India Weighs Land Swap With Myanmar To Settle Border

India Weighs Land Swap With Myanmar To Settle Border

Two neighboring countries, India and Myanmar, share a very long border.

Sometimes it is hard to agree exactly where one country ends and the other begins.

India has an idea to swap a tiny piece of land with Myanmar to make the border clear.

The people in charge are still talking about it and have not decided yet.

To keep the border safe, India is building a tall fence along the border.

The fence stops people from crossing without permission and stops bad things like drug smuggling.

Some parts of the fence were damaged, and a police report was filed.

In the past, border tribes could cross freely, but now India has stopped that rule.

India wants the border to be safe for everyone who lives there.
