NCLAT Seeks Project-Wise Deadlines for 16 Supertech Projects
Sixteen unfinished Supertech housing projects are being taken up by NBCC.
A Supreme Court committee is overseeing the work.
The committee gave a broad estimate of 12 to 36 months, but not a finish date for each project.
NCLAT has asked it to provide those dates and explain how much money is available.
The information must be filed before a hearing on November 6, 2026.
NBCC is preparing to choose contractors through open tenders.
Some financing proposals were rejected because their interest rates were too high.
If funds are short, contractors may pay for some work for six months and receive interest on the delayed payments.
NCLAT asked the Supreme Court committee to provide tentative completion dates for each of 16 stalled Supertech projects handled by NBCC.
The committee's affidavit proposed construction timelines of 12 to 36 months but gave no individual project completion dates.
NCLAT also requested details of funds currently available, with the report due before the November 6, 2026 hearing.
NBCC expects to complete work awards by December 31, 2026, and proposed due diligence and audits by January 15, 2027.
NBCC plans at least 27 open e-tender packages; contractors may finance work temporarily if project funds are insufficient.
