South Korea Prepares Response, Demands Apology Over DMZ Blast

A mine exploded in the Korean Demilitarized Zone on September 21.

Three South Korean soldiers were hurt, and two were seriously injured.

South Korea says a joint investigation found that North Korean mines caused the blast.

It wants North Korea to apologise and remove mines south of the Military Demarcation Line.

South Korea is also asking North Korea to discuss disagreements about where that line is.

North Korea says the accusation is groundless and denies deliberately planting mines there.

South Korea says it is preparing a response, but has not said what it will do.
