Muslim Doctor Joins Duty After Hijab Controversy
A doctor named Nusrat Parveen had to join her new job after a long delay because of a big argument.
The argument started when the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, pulled down her hijab in front of everyone.
This made many people upset.
The doctor was supposed to start her job on December 20, but she kept getting extensions until January 7.
During this time, a minister from another state, Jharkhand, offered her a much better job with more money and security.
Finally, she joined her job in Bihar, but not at the usual office.
She went directly to the AYUSH department instead.
AYUSH doctor Nusrat Parveen joined duty 23 days after the original deadline due to a hijab-related controversy.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar pulled down her hijab during an appointment letter distribution event on December 15.
Parveen completed her joining formalities directly at the AYUSH department instead of the usual Civil Surgeon’s office.
Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari offered her a higher salary and better facilities to join government service in Jharkhand.
