CM Yadav leads Tiranga Yatra, launches Har Ghar Tiranga campaign
On Sunday, the leader of a state in India called Madhya Pradesh, named Mohan Yadav, led a big parade with the Indian flag in the city of Bhopal.
Many people came to the parade even though it was raining.
The parade is called a Tiranga Yatra, because 'tiranga' is another name for India's flag.
Mr. Yadav started a special programme called 'Har Ghar Tiranga', which means 'a flag in every home'.
The programme asks every Indian family to put up the national flag at their house.
He asked everyone to promise to keep serving their country for their whole life.
The programme began in 2022 and will run until August 17.
This year is special because the national song 'Vande Mataram' turns 150 years old, and India will celebrate 80 years of freedom on August 15.
The flag hoisting is a way for people to show love and pride for their country.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav launched the state-wide 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign by leading a Tiranga Yatra in Bhopal on Sunday.
Hundreds of people attended the event at TT Nagar Stadium despite rain, amid patriotic songs and chants of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai.'
Yadav hoisted the tricolour on stage and at his residence, appealing to people to pledge lifelong service to the nation.
The 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign, launched in 2022, will continue till August 17 and encourages people to hoist the tricolour at their homes.
The CM noted the campaign coincides with the 150th anniversary of the national song 'Vande Mataram' and 80 years of independence on August 15.
