Young Girl Appeals to PM Modi to Save Dal Lake from Pollution
Imagine a beautiful lake called Dal Lake, which is like a heart for many families living near it.
A 13-year-old girl named Jannat loves this lake very much because she grew up next to it.
She noticed that the lake was getting very dirty with garbage and pollution, so she started cleaning it with her dad when she was only five!
Jannat started her own project called 'Jannat's Mission Dal Lake' to clean the water and tell people not to throw trash in it.
She even wrote a letter to the leader of India, the Prime Minister, to ask for help.
Jannat dreams of special electric boats that can collect garbage and solar power to help clean the lake.
She also thinks the people who have lived on the lake for a long time, the Hanjis, should help.
She wants the government to stop plastic from being thrown in the lake and to teach kids in school how to protect nature.
Jannat believes that with help, Dal Lake can be clean and beautiful again for everyone to enjoy.
13-year-old Jannat Tariq writes to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to highlight the pollution crisis affecting Dal Lake.
Jannat, inspired by her father, has been actively involved in cleaning and raising awareness about Dal Lake since she was five years old.
She proposes solutions including eco-friendly electric garbage collection boats, solar-powered cleaning systems, and involving traditional boatmen (Hanjis).
Jannat requests a ban on plastic, stricter fines for littering, promotion of eco-tourism, and integrating environmental education into school curricula.
She calls for honest officers, transparency, regular audits, and local participation to ensure the lake's restoration and protection.
