Sound Stand Collapse Injures Fans At Yash’s Toxic Event
Yash was speaking at a crowded event for his film Toxic in Hyderabad.
The event was held at a university on a Saturday evening.
A structure holding speakers or lights suddenly fell near the crowd.
Some people had climbed onto the structure, and police said this may have made it unstable.
Reports disagreed about how many people were hurt.
Some reports said two students were injured, while police later said four people were injured.
Police said one student broke a leg and three others had smaller injuries.
The injured people were taken to a hospital.
Yash stopped speaking, asked people to help, and told fans to get down from elevated structures before continuing.
A sound, speaker or lighting structure collapsed during Yash’s Toxic pre-release event at Malla Reddy University in Hyderabad.
Reports differed on the toll, with several citing two injured students and police reporting four injured people.
Police said attendees climbed onto the stand, with some allegedly performing stunts, before it lost balance.
Those injured were taken to a nearby hospital; police said one student had a leg fracture and three others had minor injuries.
Yash paused his speech, asked organisers to check on the injured, warned people not to climb structures and later resumed the event.
