Delhi Intensifies Pollution Control Measures
The Delhi government is taking strong steps to fight pollution.
They are continuing a rule called 'No PUC, No Fuel,' which means no vehicle can get fuel without a pollution check.
They have also suspended some pollution testing centers that were not following the rules.
The government has issued notices to close some industries and sealed others to reduce pollution.
They are setting up new testing stations and using anti-smog guns to clean the air.
The air quality in some parts of Delhi is still very bad, so these measures are important to keep the air clean.
The government is also proposing to rejuvenate 1,000 water bodies to help with pollution control.
Additionally, the Commission for Air Quality Management has issued notices to six thermal power plants for not following the rules on using biomass with coal, proposing a total penalty of ₹61.85 crore.
Delhi to continue 'No PUC, No Fuel' policy even after GRAP-IV restrictions are lifted.
12 PUCC centres suspended and blacklisted for irregularities.
DPCC issued 411 closure notices and MCD sealed 400 units to curb industrial pollution.
Four new automatic testing stations sanctioned and anti-smog guns installed on high-rise buildings.
Delhi government proposed ₹100 crore for rejuvenating 1,000 water bodies.
