Cognizant Launches 10,000-Employee Codex Hackathon Across India Cities
Cognizant, a big IT company, held a special coding competition for 10,000 of its workers in India.
They used a new AI tool called Codex from OpenAI.
The workers got lessons, help from mentors, and worked on real projects.
The goal is to make useful AI tools for businesses.
Cognizant wants to grow this program to help 50,000 workers in the future.
Cognizant hosted its first OpenAI Codex Hackathon for 10,000 employees across six Indian cities.
Participants received masterclasses, curated resources, and mentorship to build AI-powered coding projects.
The event aimed to develop enterprise-ready solutions and expand to 50,000 associates in future.
OpenAI’s Colleen Kapase highlighted the initiative as a step toward practical enterprise AI.
Cognizant plans to grow the program, following a record 30,000-prototype hackathon last year.
