Pradhan Resigns Amid NEET UG 2026 Controversy

Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as the Education Minister of India due to widespread protests over the NEET UG 2026 exam controversy.

The government canceled the exam, announced a fresh test, and initiated a CBI investigation.

Pralhad Joshi has been appointed as the new Education Minister.

Pradhan's resignation was influenced by the need to safeguard students' interests and prevent further uncertainty.

The government has also decided to conduct NEET UG exams in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from 2027 to strengthen the examination process.
