CEA Launches District Data Repository
The Chief Economic Advisor, V Anantha Nageswaran, launched a new project called the District Project.
This project is created by FLAME University’s Centre for Knowledge Alternatives.
It starts with Maharashtra and will later include other states.
The goal is to collect and share detailed information about each district, including its history, food, art, markets, languages, and important data like education and health.
The project wants to help policymakers, researchers, and citizens understand India better by combining data with stories from the local people.
The information will be available on a digital portal and can be updated by users to keep it accurate and up-to-date.
