Trump Urges Iran to Stop Executing Protesters Amid Crisis

Donald Trump asked Iran to stop executing people connected to recent protests.

He said the executions were happening at an unusually high level.

He also said parts of Iran’s military were not being paid.

The protests began because many people were upset about the high cost of living.

They later became large demonstrations against Iran’s government.

Iran said more than 3,000 people died and blamed terrorist acts linked to the United States and Israel.

Rights groups said many more people died and accused security forces of shooting protesters.

At least three more people have been executed in Iran since an international condemnation of the executions.

The United States did not sign that condemnation, even though Trump criticized Iran’s actions.
