James Cameron Revisits 'Avatar' Films for Upcoming Sequel
James Cameron, the director of the Avatar movies, has a rule about not watching his films after they're released.
But he broke that rule to re-watch Avatar: The Way of Water.
He did this to make sure the new Avatar movie, Fire and Ash, fits well with the previous movie's story and plot.
This also helped him ensure the music and scenes were consistent.
The next two Avatar movies are planned for release in 2029 and 2031.
James Cameron is re-watching 'Avatar: The Way of Water' before 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' release.
Cameron wants to maintain consistency in the plot and narrative.
He brought back Toruk, Jake’s flying creature, in the story.
'Avatar: The Way of Water' originally earned $2.3 billion worldwide.
Disney plans to release Avatar 4 in 2029 and Avatar 5 in 2031.
