Delhi Traffic Police Proposes Plan to Decongest Kashmere Gate
The Delhi Traffic Police has suggested a new plan to reduce traffic jams around Kashmere Gate.
Currently, many buses going to other states like Haryana, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh cause a lot of traffic on the Ring Road.
The police want these buses to take a different route using the Dehradun Expressway and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway instead.
This new route is already used by many people to avoid city traffic.
The plan aims to make the roads less crowded and safer for everyone.
The suggestion came after a group called Guru Hanuman Society of Bharat raised concerns about the traffic problems and suggested better routes.
The police have sent this plan to the Delhi government for approval.
Delhi Traffic Police proposes rerouting interstate buses to decongest Kashmere Gate.
Current route causes severe traffic jams at multiple locations, including Chandgi Ram Akhara and GT Karnal Bypass.
Proposed route involves using the Dehradun Expressway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway to avoid city traffic.
The suggestion came after a road safety NGO raised concerns about traffic jams and their impact on public health.
The proposal has been submitted to the Delhi government’s transport department and the Public Works Department for approval.
