Epstein's Will Leaves $50M, Properties to Girlfriend
Karyna Shuliak, a woman from Belarus, was Jeffrey Epstein's last known girlfriend.
According to his will, she was supposed to get $50 million in cash and several properties.
These include a fancy house in New York, an island in the U.S. Virgin Islands known for bad things, a ranch in New Mexico, a place in Paris, and another property in Palm Beach.
The will also mentioned a big diamond ring.
However, the money and properties were not given to her.
Instead, they were used to help the people Epstein hurt and to pay legal fees.
The New York Post and the US Department of Justice reported this information.
Karyna Shuliak, Epstein's last known girlfriend, was set to inherit $50 million and multiple properties, including his infamous island in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The properties include an Upper East Side townhouse, Zorro Ranch in New Mexico, a Paris property, and a Palm Beach property.
Shuliak was also to receive a 33-carat diamond ring set in platinum, with a handwritten note indicating it was given 'in contemplation of marriage.'
Epstein's will was signed on August 8, 2019, two days before his death in federal custody, and his estate was estimated to be worth about $288 million.
The estate was redirected into a trust to compensate victims and cover legal fees and taxes, leaving approximately $127 million remaining in the trust.
