Irfan Pathan Supports Shubman Gill Amid T20 Snub
Shubman Gill is a young and talented Indian cricketer who has shown great promise in Test and ODI cricket.
He has been compared to other great Indian batters like Virat Kohli.
However, he struggled in T20 cricket and was not selected for the T20 World Cup.
Former player Irfan Pathan believes that Gill is fully capable of achieving great things and that challenges are part of growth.
Pathan also thinks that more ODI series should be played to keep Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in form for the 2027 World Cup.
Both Kohli and Sharma have been performing well in ODIs and domestic cricket.
Chief selector Ajit Agarkar acknowledged Gill's quality but noted his recent lack of runs as the reason for his omission from the T20 World Cup squad.
