Indian Stock Market Closed on Independence Day 2025
On August 15, 2025, the Indian stock market, like the BSE and NSE, will be closed because it's Independence Day.
This means you can't buy or sell stocks that day.
The commodity market, including MCX and NCDEX, will also be closed.
The markets usually work from Monday to Friday, and the regular hours are from 9:15 in the morning to 3:30 in the afternoon.
Everything will be back to normal on August 18th.
Indian stock and commodity markets will be closed on August 15, 2025, for Independence Day.
BSE Sensex and NSE will halt trading in stocks, derivatives, and SLB segments.
The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) and NCDEX will also be closed on this day.
Regular trading hours are from 9:15 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Markets will reopen on Monday, August 18, 2025.
