BJP’s new Madhya Pradesh chief urges humility, grassroots worker outreach
Biplab Kumar Deb is the BJP’s new organisational leader in Madhya Pradesh.
He told party workers not to spend too much money on grand welcomes.
He said leaders should focus more on meeting ordinary party workers.
He also asked leaders to stay connected with workers at local booth and mandal levels.
Deb wants posters to talk about government schemes instead of mainly showing leaders’ faces.
He said a party position does not last forever, but people remember whether leaders earned their trust.
He plans to visit districts, villages and booths during his tenure.
The BJP is also studying seats it lost or won narrowly to improve its organisation.
Biplab Kumar Deb asked Madhya Pradesh BJP leaders to end lavish welcomes involving flowers, oversized garlands and expensive gifts.
Deb urged functionaries to spend more time with grassroots workers and remain accessible at booth and mandal levels.
He said banners and hoardings should highlight government schemes and development work rather than individual leaders’ photographs.
Deb said organisational positions are temporary, while trust built among party workers lasts longer.
The BJP plans to review 66 Assembly seats lost in 2023 and constituencies won by fewer than 5,000 votes.
