Pug Jinny Lu Wins World's Ugliest Dog 2026 Contest

Every August, a fair in California holds a contest called the World's Ugliest Dog.

It celebrates dogs that look a little different, like dogs with crooked teeth or missing fur.

This year, a six-year-old pug named Jinny Lu won the crown.

She has a tongue that always hangs out and a big underbite.

Jinny Lu was found as a puppy in a wooden box in the cold mountains of South Korea.

A rescue group brought her to California, and a woman named Michelle Grady adopted her four years ago.

Jinny Lu won $5,000 and a trip to New York to appear on a TV show.

She also visits schools and care homes to teach people about adopting rescue dogs.

The contest has been running for 50 years and helps people see that every dog deserves a loving home.
