Modi, UAE President Discuss West Asia and Strategic Partnership

The president of the United Arab Emirates called India’s prime minister, Narendra Modi.

The call happened one day after Modi’s birthday.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan wished Modi a happy birthday.

They talked about events in West Asia.

They said India and the UAE should keep working together for peace and safety in the region.

They also discussed making their partnership stronger.

Possible areas for more cooperation include energy, defence, technology, investment and health.

Sheikh Mohamed congratulated India on its successful BRICS Presidency.

Modi thanked the UAE for its help and for taking part in the BRICS Summit.
