India and Zanzibar Strengthen Cooperation
India's Vice President and the President of Zanzibar had a meeting in New Delhi.
They talked about working together in areas like trade, education, and technology.
The President of Zanzibar thanked India for helping with things like setting up a special school and providing water projects.
They also discussed other ways to help each other grow and develop.
Earlier, India's foreign minister also met with the Zanzibar President to talk about similar topics.
The President of Zanzibar is visiting India and had earlier attended a big event at a famous school in Chennai.
Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan and Zanzibar President Hussein Ali Mwinyi met in New Delhi to discuss strengthening cooperation.
Key areas of cooperation include trade, investment, development partnership, tourism, blue economy, education, technology, and multilateral engagement.
President Mwinyi expressed appreciation for India's support in establishing the IIT Madras Zanzibar Campus and other projects.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also met with President Mwinyi to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in various sectors.
President Mwinyi is on an official visit to India and had previously attended the 63rd Convocation Ceremony of IIT Madras.
