Telcos and Adani Group Clash Over Navi Mumbai Airport Network
There is a big argument between the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) and the Adani Group, which runs the Navi Mumbai Airport.
The COAI says the Adani Group is not letting telecom companies set up their own networks and is charging too much for using the airport's network.
The Adani Group says they have followed the rules and offered to let telecom companies use their network at fair prices.
The COAI wants the government to step in and make sure the Adani Group follows the rules.
The Adani Group says they are working to make sure everyone has good internet access at the airport.
COAI alleges NMIAL has denied RoW permissions and imposed high charges for telecom infrastructure.
NMIAL claims it has installed IBS infrastructure as a neutral host and offered network access at industry-standard rates.
COAI seeks DoT intervention, alleging monopolistic practices by NMIAL.
NMIAL denies any refusal of RoW permissions and is providing complimentary Wi-Fi due to delays by other operators.
Dispute involves charges of Rs 92 lakh per month per operator for using NMIAL's IBS infrastructure.
