Uttarakhand dismisses constable who joined NEET paper leak protest

A police officer named Sher Singh works in Uttarakhand, a state in India.

He was very upset that exam papers were being leaked and that cheating was common in big exams.

He said exam papers were even being sold at paan shops.

So he went to a protest in Delhi with a group called the Cockroach Janta Party.

At the protest, he waved a resignation letter and said he was quitting his job.

The police say he was suspended before the protest and then fired for breaking service rules.

They also say he had earlier been in jail for land grabbing and threatening people.

Sher Singh says his bosses made up false cases against him.

He says he will keep fighting to clean up the education system even if he is jailed many times.

He also says he opened 85 free schools for poor children.
