Jets Make Franchise History with Kickoff and Punt Return TDs in Same Game
The New York Jets had a super special day on special teams!
For the very first time ever in their team's history, they managed to score touchdowns in two different ways on special teams during the same game.
First, a player named Kene Nwangwu ran the ball back an amazing 99 yards on a kickoff all the way to the end zone for a touchdown!
Then, a little later, another player named Isaiah Williams did almost the same thing, running a punt back 74 yards for another touchdown.
Both of these incredible plays happened very early in the game, in the first quarter.
This means the Jets made history by scoring both a kickoff return touchdown and a punt return touchdown all in one game!
The New York Jets achieved a franchise first by scoring both a kickoff return touchdown and a punt return touchdown in the same game.
Kene Nwangwu returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter.
Isaiah Williams returned a punt 74 yards for a touchdown shortly after Nwangwu's score.
Both special teams touchdowns occurred in the opening quarter against the Cleveland Browns.
