BJP Sweeps Uttarakhand Panchayat Polls Amidst Natural Disaster
In Uttarakhand, the BJP party had a strong showing in local elections.
They won several elections without any competition, including four district head positions and eleven block panchayats.

The BJP believes their success is due to good planning, while the opposition Congress party struggled to find people to run in some areas because of internal issues.

The BJP also won 11 Kshetra (Block) panchayat elections without opposition.
