Press Clubs Federation Promises Legal Aid, Journalist Welfare

Press Clubs Federation Promises Legal Aid, Journalist Welfare

A new group called the Federation of Press Clubs was launched to support journalists.

It said journalists who face persecution should be able to receive legal help.

The group adopted a plan called the Hyderabad Declaration.

The plan focuses on keeping journalists safe at work and supporting their physical and mental health.

It also seeks help for journalists facing medical emergencies or money problems.

Some journalists may receive fellowships to report on important topics that do not get enough funding.

The federation wants journalists to follow ethical and professional standards.

It also plans to support pensions, insurance and health programmes for journalists and their families.
