NSE Q1 Profit Rises 7% to ₹3,120 Crore, IPO Plans Accelerate
The National Stock Exchange of India, or NSE, said it made more money in the first quarter of 2026 than it did last year.
Its profit after taxes went up by 7% to 3,120 crore rupees.
The total money it earned from trading and other services grew 9% to 5,252 crore rupees.
It spent a bit more, about 1,129 crore rupees, because it is doing more business.
The NSE also gave the government a big chunk of money in taxes, about 20,579 crore rupees.
In June, the NSE sent a plan to the regulator, SEBI, to sell 14.89 crore shares in a new public offering that could bring in about 30,000 crore rupees, one of the biggest in India.
NSE's Q1 PAT rose 7% to ₹3,120 crore, up from ₹2,924 crore a year earlier.
Total income increased 9% to ₹5,252 crore, driven by higher transaction charges and trading volumes.
Expenses grew to ₹1,129 crore, reflecting expanded operations.
NSE paid ₹20,579 crore in taxes and statutory payments, including ₹18,313 crore in STT/CTT.
NSE filed draft IPO papers with SEBI for a ₹30,000 crore offer, potentially one of India's largest.
