Delhi Schools Evacuated After Bomb Threat Emails Declared Hoaxes
Several schools in Delhi received emails warning about bombs.
Students and staff were moved out to keep them safe.
Police, firefighters, bomb experts and trained dogs searched the schools.
They also checked nearby areas for anything dangerous.
No bomb or suspicious object was found.
Officials therefore called the threats hoaxes after completing their checks.
Sardar Patel Vidyalaya was holding examinations when it was evacuated.
The school said it would decide later how to handle the remaining senior-school exams.
Police are still trying to find who sent the emails.
Bomb-threat emails prompted evacuations and security checks at several Delhi schools on September 15, 2026.
Reports named The British School, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Army Public School, Springdales School, Air Force Bal Bharati School and Carmel Convent School.
Police, bomb-disposal teams, sniffer-dog squads and Delhi Fire Services searched school buildings and surrounding areas.
No explosive or suspicious object was found, and the threats were declared hoaxes after inspections.
