Around 350 of 590 audited projects expected to resume construction

In June, a big warehouse that was still being built fell down in Garden Reach, and at least 16 people lost their lives.

After that, the government decided to check many building projects to make sure they were safe.

Builders had to stop working while the checks were happening.

Now, the government has checked 590 building projects and plans to let about 350 of them start building again.

The checking work is not finished yet, so more projects will be reviewed by August 15.

The government and builders agreed to follow new safety rules.

Buildings must now be checked very carefully, starting from the foundation stage.

Independent safety experts will also be brought in to inspect the buildings.

This is to make sure that buildings are safe for everyone who uses them.
