Dhurandhar Box Office Success and Controversies
Dhurandhar is a new spy action movie starring Ranveer Singh.
It's been doing really well at the box office, making over Rs 700 crore worldwide in just 14 days.
The movie is about an undercover agent who goes into the criminal and political underworld of Karachi.
It's the first part of a two-part series and has been liked by audiences a lot.
Ranveer Singh's performance has been especially praised, and he has become the only Indian actor to have three films that made over $10 million in North America.
The movie is still doing well in theaters, but it might face competition from the new Avatar movie.
Overall, Dhurandhar is a big success and is expected to cross the Rs 1000 crore mark soon.
However, there was some controversy when an older actor kissed a younger actress at an event, but he said it was just a fatherly gesture.
Dhurandhar has earned Rs 700 crore worldwide in 14 days, with Rs 460 crore from India and Rs 150 crore overseas.
The film maintained a 32.35% overall Hindi occupancy on its 14th day, with the highest regional occupancy in Bengaluru at 51.25%.
Ranveer Singh's performance as Hamza has been critically acclaimed, adding to his record of three $10M+ films in North America.
Dhurandhar is the first installment of a two-part series, directed by Aditya Dhar, known for previous Bollywood blockbusters.
The film's success is attributed to its engaging plot, strong cast, and sustained audience interest, with predictions of crossing the Rs 1000 crore milestone.
