Ghaziabad: Women Entrepreneurs to Sell Goods from Collectorate
Imagine a place where women who make cool stuff like jewelry and spices can sell their creations.
In Ghaziabad, the government is making this happen!
They're setting up a special space, like a small shop, where women can sell their handmade goods without paying rent.
This helps women entrepreneurs and gives them a chance to sell to lots of people.
The project is modeled after a successful restaurant that already exists in the area.
This new initiative wants to create more opportunities for women, helping them make money and learn how to manage their own businesses.
Women entrepreneurs in Ghaziabad will soon sell homemade goods at Vikas Bhavan.
The district administration is providing a no-rent platform to support self-help groups (SHGs).
The initiative aims to connect SHGs with customers like government officials and the public.
Around 50 SHGs will participate in the first phase, with a rotational system for wider participation.
The administration is also exploring a permanent marketplace in Indirapuram.
