Hulu Partners with Miércoles Entertainment to Expand Latino Programming
Hulu is making a new deal with a company called Miércoles Entertainment.
Miércoles will bring many Spanish-language movies and TV shows, especially those about the Latino experience, to Hulu.
These shows come from Latin America and some will be only on Hulu.
Some of the shows have famous actors and directors.
The people at Miércoles say that there aren't enough good shows for Hispanic people in the U.S., and they want to change that.
They think Hulu is a great place to share these stories with millions of Americans who want to watch them.
Hulu and Miércoles Entertainment Studios are collaborating to offer more Spanish-language and bilingual content focused on the Latino experience in the U.S.
The deal includes Miércoles' 'Miércoles Select' portfolio of premium films and series from Latin America.
Several titles will be exclusive to Hulu, including Mexican box office hit 'Mesa de Regalos' and Tribeca award winner 'The Freshly Cut Grass'.
Miércoles, founded by former Pantelion and PantaYa management, aims to bridge top Latin American content with U.S. audiences.
The partnership seeks to tap into the significant but historically underserved U.S. Hispanic market for premium content.
