Odisha JCB Driver Flees, Breaks Barricades During Police Chase
In Odisha, a state in India, a driver took off in a big construction machine called a JCB.
The machine belonged to his boss, and the two had argued with each other.
The boss told the police about the fight on August 15.
When police started looking for the driver, he drove away in the JCB.
Police put up barricades, which are barriers across the road, to try to stop him.
Instead of stopping, the driver drove straight through the barricades really fast.
Many police teams chased him for a long way.
At last he left the JCB in a field near a village called Gudiyali and ran away on foot.
Police found the machine, but they have not found the driver yet.
A video of the chase is being shared online while police keep searching.
A JCB driver in Odisha's Ganjam district fled with the machine after a dispute with its owner and refused to stop for police.
The owner filed a complaint on August 15, after which police registered a case and began searching for the driver.
The driver drove at high speed and smashed through several police barricades during the chase.
Police teams from Khallikote, Rambha, Purushottampur and Kabisuryanagar joined the pursuit, which ended when the driver abandoned the JCB in a field near Gudiyali and escaped on foot.
Police recovered the vehicle, but the driver remains untraced, and a video of the chase is circulating online while the investigation continues.
