Indians to take 3 trips annually by 2026
A report by Scapia says that by 2026, most Indians will take about three trips every year.
This is because people are now preferring to go on multiple, shorter trips instead of waiting for one big vacation.
They are visiting many different places, both in India and abroad.
The report also says that the number of flight bookings has grown a lot, and people are spending money in many different countries.
Instead of just sightseeing, people are now focusing on experiences that matter to them.
The duration of these trips is also getting shorter, sometimes as short as 48 hours.
Indians are predicted to take an average of three trips per year by 2026.
Flight bookings have grown over five times, and 113 currencies were spent across 174 countries.
Domestic travel destinations include Ziro, Pakyong, Jagdalpur, and Pasighat.
International destinations visited include Tashkent, Luang Prabang, Barbados, and Puerto Princesa.
Travel frequency is becoming more important than distance, with shorter trips of as little as 48 hours.
