Vice-President to headline 79th Hyderabad Liberation Day celebrations
Hyderabad Liberation Day will be celebrated on September 17.
Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan will attend as the chief guest.
The main event will happen at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds.
Soldiers from paramilitary forces will take part in a special parade.
There will also be dances, cultural performances and displays of historic objects.
An exhibition will describe events connected with Nizam rule and the Indian Army in 1948.
A school quiz will be held one day earlier for students in grades 6 to 8.
The quiz winners will receive recognition during the main celebration.
