Indian Stock Markets Open August 26 Despite Eid Holiday
The Indian stock market will not close on August 26 for Eid-e-Milad.
People can still buy and sell shares on the BSE and NSE.
However, the steps used to transfer money and shares after a trade will be treated as a holiday.
This is called a settlement holiday.
The MCX commodity exchange will run both its morning and evening sessions.
NCDEX will also be open.
The next full trading holiday is September 14, 2026, for Ganesh Chaturthi.
Diwali Muhurat Trading is expected on November 8, but its exact timing has not yet been announced.
BSE and NSE equity markets will remain open on August 26 for normal trading.
