Goregaon-Mulund Tunnel Project Disrupts Film City, Spurs Compensation
Mumbai is building two large tunnels between Goregaon and Mulund.
Part of the tunnel road passes through Film City.
Some filming areas are being used for construction work and storage.
The city has agreed to pay Film City about ₹20 crore for using this land and these grounds.
Film City says its total losses could be much higher, at ₹174.12 crore.
That larger compensation request has not yet been settled.
Workers are already digging one tunnel and assembling the machine for the second.
When finished, the road is expected to make travel across Mumbai much faster.
