Varanasi Authorities Demolish Restaurant Over Alleged Illegal Construction
Officials in Varanasi removed part of a restaurant near Kachahari intersection.
They said the building work was allegedly illegal.
The Varanasi Development Authority had already sent a notice to the restaurant owner.
The owner did not remove the construction, officials said.
The demolition was also connected to a plan to widen a road.
Traffic was redirected while the work took place.
