Jaiswal Scores Maiden ODI Century, India Wins Series

Yashasvi Jaiswal, a 23-year-old Indian cricketer, scored his first century in One Day Internationals (ODIs) on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

He achieved this milestone in a match against South Africa in Visakhapatnam.

This was his ninth century in international cricket, with seven in Test matches and one in T20Is.

With this century, Jaiswal became the sixth Indian player to score centuries in all three formats of men's cricket.

The other Indians who have done this are Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Shubman Gill.

Jaiswal has played only four ODIs so far, making this a significant achievement early in his ODI career.

India won the match by nine wickets and secured a 2-1 series victory.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also played crucial roles with half-centuries.

South Africa posted 270 runs, with Quinton de Kock scoring a century.

India chased down the target with 61 balls to spare.

The Indian bowlers, led by Prasidh Krishna and Kuldeep Yadav, who took four wickets each, restricted South Africa to a manageable total.
