US Open Draw Sets Alcaraz Defense, Williams-Kenin Clash

The U.S. Open tennis tournament starts its main matches on Sunday.

Carlos Alcaraz is trying to defend the title he won last year.

His first opponent will be Roman Safiullin, who recently played well at Wimbledon.

Alcaraz is returning to singles after missing major tournaments because of a wrist injury.

Venus Williams will play Sofia Kenin in an interesting first-round match.

Serena Williams might have played Venus, but she chose to compete only in doubles.

Alexander Zverev is now the top-seeded men’s player because Jannik Sinner withdrew.

Aryna Sabalenka, the defending women’s champion, will begin against Camila Osorio.
